Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe banana mashed
  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and halved
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Optional: Crushed nuts for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla and mashed banana.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with sour cream and milk.
  • Gently fold in the halved cherries.
  • Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
