- 1 ripe banana mashed
- 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and halved
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream or yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk
- Optional: Crushed nuts for topping
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla and mashed banana.
Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with sour cream and milk.
Gently fold in the halved cherries.
