- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cups brewed coffee chilled
- 1/2 cup plant-based milk almond, soy, etc.
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup adjust to taste
- Ice cubes
Prepare Blueberry Basil Syrup: In a saucepan, combine blueberries, basil leaves, and maple syrup. Simmer over medium heat until blueberries soften and release their juices. Remove from heat and strain to remove solids.
Blend: In a blender, combine chilled brewed coffee, plant-based milk, and 1/4 cup of the prepared blueberry basil syrup. Blend until smooth.
Serve: Fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour the blended coffee mixture over the ice.
Garnish (optional): Garnish with fresh basil leaves or additional blueberries.
