Ingredients
  

Butter Pecan Syrup

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp butter extract
  • 1 tsp pecan extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes until the syrup slightly thickens while remaining smooth.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the butter extract, pecan extract, vanilla extract, and salt until blended.
  • Cool until warm. The syrup should appear glossy and lightly coat the back of a spoon.
  • Transfer into a clean glass bottle using a funnel and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons to coffee, espresso, lattes, iced drinks, milk, oatmeal, or drizzle over desserts.

Notes

Simmer briefly for a lighter consistency or one extra minute for a thicker syrup without becoming sticky. Chill completely before making iced beverages. Stir gently while assembling layered drinks. Customize with caramel extract, cinnamon, or toasted pecan essence. Store refrigerated in a sealed container for up to one month and shake before each use.
