Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 quart vanilla or chocolate ice cream
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it lightly.
  • Mix flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla extract and fold in the dry ingredients gently.
  • Spread the batter onto the prepared sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Place the cake on a new sheet of parchment paper. Roll it gently while warm and let it cool completely.
  • Unroll the cake and spread softened ice cream evenly over the surface. Reroll the cake.
  • Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and freeze for 3 hours.
  • Slice and serve with whipped topping and optional chocolate syrup drizzle.
