Ingredients
  

  • 3 overripe bananas brown and sad
  • 1/2 cup melted butter salted, because life’s too short
  • 3/4 cup sugar white, for sweetness
  • 1 egg large, not extra-large drama
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract the good stuff
  • 1 1/2 cups flour all-purpose, not fancy
  • 1 tsp baking soda for fluff, not cleaning
  • 1/2 tsp salt to balance the chaos
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee for the glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for the glaze, obviously

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  • Mash bananas in a bowl until gooey.
  • Mix in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the pan. Bake for 50 minutes.
  • For the glaze, whisk coffee and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Drizzle glaze over cooled bread.
