  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp espresso powder
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, espresso powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in chopped hazelnuts.
  • In a separate bowl, mix heavy cream, vanilla, and egg, then pour into the dry ingredients.
  • Stir until just combined, then shape the dough into a circle and cut into wedges.
  • Place on the baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Let cool before adding to your charcuterie board.
