Ingredients
  

Coffee Base

  • 2 cups coarse ground coffee
  • 4 cups cold filtered water

Serving Ideas

Instructions
 

  • Add coarse coffee grounds to a large jar or bowl.
  • Pour cold water over grounds and stir until fully saturated.
  • Cover and refrigerate 12 to 18 hours for deep smooth flavor.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth.
  • Strain a second time for cleaner texture and less sediment.
  • Store concentrate in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, mix equal parts concentrate and water or milk.
  • Pour over ice or heat gently for hot coffee.

Notes

For softer flavor, steep 12 hours. For stronger flavor, steep 18 hours. Freeze concentrate in cubes for quick drinks. Shake before using if sediment settles. Add vanilla, cinnamon, or cocoa for flavor customization. Store refrigerated up to seven days.
