Soak cashews overnight or for 4 hours in hot water if you forgot (we all do).
Blend cashews, coconut cream, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt until smooth and creamy. Zero lumps allowed.
Brew strong espresso, stir in maple syrup and liqueur (if using), and let cool completely.
Dip vegan cake pieces quickly into the espresso mixture—no soggy drama.
Layer soaked cake on the bottom of your dish like you're building emotional stability.
Spread half the cashew cream mixture on top. Smooth it like you're icing your ex out.
Repeat with another espresso-dipped cake layer and finish with the remaining cream.
Sift cocoa powder over the top with flair. Add chocolate shavings if you're feeling yourself.
Cover and chill for at least 3 hours. Overnight if you’re a planner (or asleep).
