Ingredients
  

For the Brownies

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Coffee Mousse

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp gelatin bloomed in 1 tbsp cold water

For the Whipped Cream

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions
 

Prepare the Brownies

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix melted butter, sugar, and eggs in a bowl.
  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then let cool completely.

Make the Coffee Mousse

  • Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  • Stir in dissolved coffee and vanilla extract.
  • Melt bloomed gelatin and mix into the mousse.
  • Chill for 30 minutes.

Assemble the Trifle

  • Cut brownies into bite-sized pieces.
  • Layer brownies, coffee mousse, and whipped cream in glasses.
  • Repeat layers until full, finishing with whipped cream.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
