Ingredients
  

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp brewed espresso cooled
  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur optional
  • ¼ cup coffee-soaked ladyfingers crumbled

Instructions
 

Prepare the crust:

  • Combine flour, butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, and salt in a food processor.
  • Pulse until dough forms.
  • Roll out and press into tart pan.
  • Chill for 30 minutes.

Bake the crust:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake crust for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool.

Prepare the filling:

  • Whisk mascarpone, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add cooled espresso and coffee liqueur (if using).
  • Fold in crumbled ladyfingers.

Assemble the tart:

  • Fill the cooled tart shell with the mascarpone mixture.
  • Smooth the top and chill for 3 hours.

Serve:

  • Garnish with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings. Serve chilled.
