  • Measuring Spoons
  • funnel
  • Glass Bottle or Jar

Ingredients

Lavender Vanilla Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp dried culinary lavender food grade
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure
  • 1 2 tsp vanilla bean paste optional
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Instructions

  • Combine the water, sugar, and dried lavender in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Simmer gently for 3 minutes, then remove from the heat and steep for 5 minutes for balanced floral flavor.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove the lavender buds and return the syrup to the pan.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, vanilla bean paste, and salt until fully combined. Cool until warm.
  • Transfer into a clean glass bottle using a funnel and refrigerate until completely chilled.
  • Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons into coffee, espresso, lattes, iced drinks, milk, lemonade, or drizzle over desserts.

Notes

Steep the lavender briefly for a delicate floral taste or slightly longer for a bolder aroma without bitterness. Chill completely before making iced beverages. Stir gently into layered drinks for even flavor. Customize with honey, lemon zest, or almond extract. Store refrigerated in a sealed container for up to three weeks and shake before each use.
