  • Measuring Spoons
  • funnel
  • Glass Bottle or Jar

Ingredients

Raspberry Syrup

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries or frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure
  • 1 tsp lemon juice fresh

Instructions

  • Combine the raspberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the berries soften.
  • Simmer gently for 5 minutes, lightly crushing the raspberries to release their juice and flavor.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer, pressing gently to extract the liquid while leaving the seeds behind.
  • Stir the vanilla extract and lemon juice into the warm syrup until completely combined.
  • Cool completely, then transfer into a clean glass bottle using a funnel and refrigerate.
  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons to coffee, espresso, lattes, iced drinks, lemonade, milk, or drizzle over desserts.

Notes

Simmer briefly for a lighter consistency or slightly longer for a thicker syrup without scorching the fruit. Chill completely before making iced beverages. Strain thoroughly for a silky finish. Customize with vanilla bean, mint, or orange zest. Store refrigerated in a sealed container for up to two weeks and shake before each use.
