Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • ½ cup finely chopped hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp instant espresso powder
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat & Prep – Set the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Filling – Combine hazelnuts, espresso powder, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Prepare Pastry – Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12 squares.
  • Fill & Fold – Sprinkle a teaspoon of filling onto each square. Fold diagonally and press edges to seal.
  • Egg Wash – Whisk egg, milk, and vanilla. Brush over pastries for a perfect golden finish.
  • Bake – Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes, until puffed and crisp.
  • Cool & Dust – Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Try not to eat them all at once.
