Ingredients
  

Coffee Base

  • cup ground coffee coarse grind
  • cups hot water just off boil

Sweetener

  • tbsp maple syrup adjust to taste

Serving

  • cup ice
  • cup milk optional

Instructions
 

  • Add ground coffee to the French press.
  • Pour hot water over coffee grounds and stir gently.
  • Let coffee steep for about four minutes for balanced extraction.
  • Press the plunger down slowly to separate grounds.
  • Stir maple syrup into the hot coffee until fully blended.
  • Fill a glass with ice and pour coffee over it.
  • Add milk if desired, stir, and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust steep time for stronger or lighter flavor. Use more or less maple syrup for sweetness. Chill coffee before serving to reduce dilution. Freeze coffee into ice cubes for better texture. Store leftover coffee refrigerated up to two days.
