Ingredients
  

For the Mashed Sweet Potatoes:

  • 3 large sweet potatoes peeled and chopped
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

For the Coffee Butter Sauce:

  • cup strong brewed coffee
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Boil chopped sweet potatoes in a large pot of salted water for 15 minutes or until fork-tender.
  • Drain potatoes and mash them until smooth.
  • Stir in heavy cream, melted butter, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
  • In a saucepan, combine brewed coffee, butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes, whisking occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  • Drizzle the coffee butter sauce over the mashed sweet potatoes.
  • Serve warm and prepare for unexpected compliments.
