Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • whisk
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • funnel
  • Glass Bottle or Jar

Ingredients

Toasted Almond Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract pure
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped toasted almonds optional for infusion
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Instructions

  • Combine the water, sugar, and toasted almonds in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes so the toasted almond flavor infuses into the syrup.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the almond extract, vanilla extract, and salt until fully blended.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer for a silky texture, then cool until warm.
  • Transfer into a clean glass bottle using a funnel and refrigerate until completely chilled before serving.
  • Stir 1 to 2 tablespoons into coffee, espresso, lattes, iced drinks, milk, or drizzle over desserts.

Notes

Simmer briefly for a lighter consistency or another minute for a richer syrup without over-reducing. Chill completely before preparing iced beverages. Strain carefully for the smoothest finish. Customize with hazelnut extract, cinnamon, or vanilla bean. Store refrigerated in a sealed container for up to three weeks and shake before each use.
