  • 2 cups fresh watermelon juice
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup lime juice about 2 limes
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges and mint sprigs for garnish
  • Salt for rimming glasses, optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare glasses: Wet rims with lime juice and dip into salt if desired.
  • Blend watermelon: Blend fresh watermelon until smooth. Strain to remove pulp if preferred.
  • Mix ingredients: In a shaker, combine watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup.
  • Add mint: Lightly muddle mint leaves in the shaker before adding other ingredients.
  • Shake well: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
  • Serve: Strain mixture into prepared glasses filled with ice. Garnish with lime wedges and mint sprigs.
